Window Fitter

Wallingford / Thames Valley

£40,000-£50,000 + Company Van

We are currently seeking a self-motivated & experienced window and door fitter to install, repair and maintain glazing & door systems and fixtures within residential and commercial settings across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and the wider Thames Valley area.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Window Fitter will work in cooperation with management, colleagues & other trades and labourers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of projects. You’ll be working to ensure that all standards of building codes and health and safety are met at all times.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Installing windows and doors in aluminium, UPVC and timber
  • Installing composite doors and aluminium bifolds
  • Installing lintels to support brickwork
  • Installing conservatories in Aluminium and UPVC
  • Removing any existing windows and doors prior to installing new
  • Replacing glazing in windows, doors and shopfront glazing
  • Undertaking window and door repairs/maintenance and replace locks, hinges and handles.

Experience in the following areas would also be advantageous:

  • Patching in plaster after installations
  • Patching in render after installations
  • Completing site surveys and take measurements.

Candidates will need to be confident working alone and also as part of a team, with good timekeeping & communication skills. A strong level of customer service is essential. You’ll also require excellent communication skills, and a clean driving license as you will be provided with a company fleet vehicle.

The successful applicant will be required to pass a DBS check.
