Your Company:A growing business operating in the environmental services sector is seeking a HGV Mechanic to join their team in Ewelme. As a business with a long history, and a strong ethic built upon powerful values, this business has seen excellent expansion within the last few years, both growing their internal teams and their facilities and services, meaning that they now require more talented individuals to join the team and assist them to provide a high quality service.This position sits within their mechanical team, and will support a number of individuals and the team manager with the day-to-day maintenance and ongoing repairs for the internal fleet of HGV vehicles that the business possesses, which are paramount to the businesses usual operations.Role and Responsibilities:While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Working as part of the team to ensure that the HGV fleet for the business is maintained and operational
  • Actioning any repairs that need doing, as flagged my mechanics and drivers
  • Escalating problems that can't be fixed, or may take longer than expected to resolve
  • Ensuring that parts are available for the HGVs as they are needed
  • Providing documentation as necessary on work that has been completed
  • Reporting into the manager, ensuring that any ad-hoc tasked are done as needed
What You Will Need To Apply:The business is looking for fully qualified HGV mechanics, possessing a City & Guilds HGV Parts 1,2 &3 or a NVQ Level 3 qualification. Ideally you should have substantial experience, at least 10 years, working with HGV vehicles. It is preferred you will possess a LGV license (Class 2 at least) and/or a digital tachograph card. You should be a confident communicator and be diligent and organised in your work load.What You Will Get In Return:The business is offering a salary of up to £48,000, and this will accompany a really good package, including a fantastic holiday offering, with the option of purchasing more days and with it rising with length of service.
