You will be joining a leading manufacturer of security systems based near Byker who are looking to add to their highly skilled Test and Repair department. Our client serves a wide range of individuals and businesses across the public and private sector.

The Opportunity:

As a PCB Assembler you will be working alongside a small team ensuring that the repair & return of products are processed and achieved in line with company policies, procedures and quality systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all returns and repairs are booked into the department in a timely manner and are stored correctly.
  • Fault find and diagnose suspected faulty electronic products (to component level).
  • Ensure that returned products are tested, repaired and assembled as per the company quality system.
  • Ensure that all company documentation and records are completed as required.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, instructions and standards for repairs.
  • Liaise with Customers where necessary regarding returned product.
  • Report and help the relevant management concerning product quality issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience of electronics repair
  • Be able to follow circuit diagrams and fault find to component level
  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent level of soldering skills and experience of electronic testing
  • Basic computer skills
