This role is pivotal in delivering the digital vision for the area, including borough-wide sensor networks, public WiFi, and enabling a digitized cultural offering.The primary focus of this role is to be the subject matter expert across LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies. The role involves managing a team of network engineers who maintain an existing estate of around 150 buildings, 300 switches, and 300 access points along with all fixed and wireless connections.Office LocationThis is a full time position based out of Newcastle Upon Tyne with a Hybrid option.
