CAD Design Engineer - Walsall

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a CAD Design Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity based in Walsall. This role falls outside of IR35, with pay rates dependent on experience, ranging from 25 to 39 per hour for a typical 39-hour week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare designs to specification for manufacturing, testing, and project completion purposes using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with small teams to prepare 3D/2D designs and design documentation material.
• Work to project deadlines efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

• Competent with SolidWorks.
• Ability to prepare designs to specification for manufacturing, testing, and project completion purposes.
• Strong collaboration skills with small teams.
• Proficiency in preparing 3D/2D designs and design documentation material.
• Adept at working to project deadlines.
• Background in transport design for sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or rail is advantageous.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Minimum of 12 months with a possible extension to 36 months.

Pay Rate:

• 25 to 39 per hour, depending on experience.
