Reed Birmingham is seeking an ambitious Chef for a long-term, full-time position at a school in Walsall.
The Chef will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy meals, implementing menu changes, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Candidates must hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, possess experience supervising a team, and have worked in schools.
A Food Hygiene certificate is required for this role, which operates Monday to Friday during term time only.
The salary for this position is competitive, and applicants should have relevant experience in a similar role.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy and nutritious meals for the children.Your responsibilities:• Implementing menu changes• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services• complying with food handling and safety regulations.• Monitoring inventories to keep the kitchens well-stocked• Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standardsyou will need to:• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent• Have experience supervising a team• Have experience working in Schools• Hold a Food Hygiene certificateThis role is Monday - Friday TERM TIME only.
