Salary: £45,111-£47,198 per annum (plus car allowance & excellent benefits)

Location: Walsall, West Midlands (hybrid working, but presence in the office and on site required to meet business need)

Contract:  Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

Overview of role:

Are you an experienced Fire Risk Assessor with extensive experience of completing fire risk assessments? Are you passionate about making a difference to our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and educating customers and colleagues about fire safety? If so, this could be the role you are looking for…

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Building Safety Team as our Fire Risk Assessor. You’ll be responsible for carrying out our Fire Risk Assessments and other building and fire inspections in a range of high, medium and low-rise buildings. 

The Fire Risk Assessor role is part of a new Fire Safety Team and will be integral in delivering whg’s approach to fire safety. It is a great opportunity for the right person to contribute to the way we both manage and deliver fire safety across whg. 

Given the technical nature of the role, we will need you to have the following qualifications:

  • Hold an appropriate accredited fire risk assessment qualification (and evidence relevant CPD). 
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (IFSM, IFE, IFPO or similar).
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order and Building Safety Act.
  • Have recent and relevant experience in both undertaking FRAs in tall and complex residential buildings, as well as experience in undertaking fire door inspections within relevant buildings
