Quack Recruitment & Training is looking for a proactive Employer Engagement Officer to support our fully funded Skills Bootcamp project in construction and retrofit, in partnership with West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
Responsibilities for the Employer Engagement Officer role will be:
- Build and manage relationships with construction, engineering, and retrofit employers across the West Midlands.
- Develop partnerships with recruitment agencies, SMEs, and large organisations to secure job placements for learners.
- Actively promote the Skills Bootcamp programme, explaining the benefits of hiring our fully trained candidates at no cost to employers.
- Secure work opportunities, interviews, and apprenticeships for Skills Bootcamp graduates.
- Work closely with employers to identify hiring needs and skills gaps within the industry.
- Match candidates with suitable roles, ensuring a seamless transition into employment.
- Collaborate with local councils, recruitment agencies, and industry bodies to develop employment pathways.
- Represent the organisation at events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the programme.
- Arrange onsite employer visits, interview days, and job fairs to showcase learners.
- Provide ongoing support to both learners and employers, ensuring retention and job satisfaction.
- Monitor employment outcomes and maintain accurate data to meet contractual and funding requirements.
- Ensure compliance with funding body expectations, submitting reports on progress and impact.
Requirements for the Employer Engagement Officer role will be:
- Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, business development, or sales (construction/retrofit sector preferred).
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills to establish and maintain partnerships.
- Ability to work towards targets and KPIs related to job placements and employer engagement.
- Knowledge of the local labour market, including construction, retrofit, and sustainability trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to connecting employers with skilled candidates.
- IT literate with experience using CRM systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable, as some travel may be required.
Pay for the Employer Engagement Officer role will be: 30-35k PA
