Shifts: Days - Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Lathe Setter Operator for a permanent position based in Brownhills, Walsall.

The ideal candidate will have experience in turning, tooling, machine set up, program editing, offset adjustments and knowledge of quality requirements necessary to manufacture components to customer drawings.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts.
* Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
* Perform routine maintenance on machines.
* Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements:
* Experienced on CNC Lathes.
* Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Single and twin chuck experience with live tooling.
* Tool selection.
* Setting up to pass-off for small, medium and high-volume batch components (some machine operation may be required).
* Components support with jobs specific fixtures or chuck.
* Competent at reading and understanding customer drawings.
* Experience of gauging and measurement techniques.
* Understanding of Fanuc, Takisawa and Mori-Seiki CNC control systems (some program editing will be required including offset adjustments).
* Ability to complete ongoing quality documentation, maintaining communication with supervision, engineering and operations team members.
