Graduate CNC Programmer – Setter/Operator

Monday - Thursday: 8am - 4pm & Friday: 8am - 2pm (occasional flexibility as required)

People Solutions are looking for a Graduate CNC Programmer for our client based in Walsall.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Gain practical experience working on state-of-the-art CNC machines
  • Learn to set, operate, and program CNC machinery, progressing towards becoming a fully trained CNC programmer
  • Work in a clean and progressive engineering environment with the latest tools and technology
  • Utilise any prior experience in CNC machining, ideally gained through a work placement, gap year, or hands-on operator/setter role
  • Work closely with experienced engineers to develop technical skills and machining expertise

Essential Skills:

  • A degree in any engineering discipline
  • A keen interest in hands-on machining and CNC programming
  • A proactive and motivated individual with a strong willingness to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Any previous experience in CNC operation or setting
  • Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software
  • Familiarity with different materials and machining techniques
  • A willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
