I am recruiting for a Contracts Manager for a growing concrete subcontractor specialising in pouring high-quality concrete flooring for industrial buildings. Based in the Walsall area, they pride themselves on their direct delivery approach and commitment to excellence in every project. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contracts Manager to join the team.

The RoleAs a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring their projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards. You'll oversee the end-to-end management of contracts, working closely with site teams, clients, and suppliers. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a strong presence in the Wilenhall office 5 days a week, to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all contractual aspects of concrete flooring projects from initiation to completion.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects meet specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety compliance on all sites.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure efficient use of resources and equipment.
  • Provide clear communication and regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage risk assessments, method statements, and quality control documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues promptly to minimise disruptions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry such as Construction Management, preferably with a focus on concrete or industrial flooring.
  • Strong understanding of concrete pouring processes and techniques.
  • Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret and manage contracts and project documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel locally.
  • A CSCS card or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Benefits

  • Salary is negotiable, depending upon your experience. Whether you are at Directors level wanting to take a more hands on approach, or at Construction Management level and wanting to take a step up, this client wants to hear from you. The top end of the salary bracket would be around £100,000 but is not limited to this.
