Manage a portfolio of multiple water infrastructure projects across the Midlands, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regional requirements.
* Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for each project, considering the unique challenges and opportunities presented by different locations.* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring effective coordination across multiple sites.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
* Lead and motivate project teams, including site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.* Effectively communicate with clients, engineers, and management, ensuring clear and timely updates, considering the geographically dispersed nature of the projects.
Technical Expertise:
* Possess a strong understanding of water engineering principles, construction methods, and materials, recognising the specific requirements and regulations relevant to the Midlands region.* Be familiar with various water infrastructure projects, including:* Pipeline installation and repair* Pump station construction* Reservoir and treatment plant upgrades* Water main and sewer line construction* Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulations.
Financial Management:
* Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure profitability, considering the logistics and complexities of projects spanning multiple locations.* Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures where appropriate.
Quality Assurance:
* Implement and oversee quality control procedures across all projects, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards despite geographic variations.* Ensure projects meet agreed-upon quality standards and client expectations.
Health and Safety:
* Prioritise safety and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations across all project sites in the Midlands.* Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility within project teams.
Regional Collaboration:
* Collaborate effectively with local authorities, community stakeholders, and other relevant parties in the Midlands region.* Ensure projects are delivered in a way that minimises disruption and maximises benefits to local communities.
Reporting and Documentation:
* Prepare and submit regular progress reports, risk assessments, and other relevant project documentation, considering the need for clear and concise communication across different stakeholders.* Ensure clear and concise communication with all stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
Heavy civils experience mandatory, water experience preferred. Experience managing direct delivery teams & Sub-Contractors. Excellent Client management skills required. Programming and planning ability required. Broad knowledge of NEC Contracts. Ability to oversee 2/3 small live sites across the midlands.SMSTS, CSCS Card (Black), Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent, TWC, NRSWA supervisor preferred.
