Prospero Teaching are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a Reception child with an Educational Health Care Plan in a happy school based in Walsall. You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion. Experience of working with children who have sensory needs and autism including communication & interaction difficulties would be beneficial but not essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated person to:

  • have the childs needs at the heart of everything
  • have a warm, caring, nurturing personality.
  • work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to support the child and help them access learning opportunities;
  • deliver targeted interventions linked to the EHCP;
  • be able to develop positive relationships with children and parents.
  • be able to work alongside the SEND team, parents and outside agencies to support childrens learning and progress
  • be able to support pupils in development skills in independence, self-confidence, and social interaction including providing intimate care.
  • have high expectations of pupils learning and behaviour.
