Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant (Level 4 Qualified or HLTA) to join a primary or SEN school. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, where you will support children with a wide range of complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Many of the students you will work with have a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum as well as additional learning difficulties. You will need to be compassionate, resilient, and equipped to manage challenging behaviours.

Key Requirements:

  • Level 4 qualification in education or HLTA status
  • Previous experience in a primary or SEN school environment
  • Ideally, trained in Team Teach or Positive Handling
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH needs and autism spectrum conditions
  • Must have an up-to-date DBS on the Update Service
  • 24 months of verifiable references
  • Availability for an immediate start
