About the Role:
Colmore Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student in a mainstream secondary school located in Walsall. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a student’s academic and personal development, starting immediately.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with specific educational needs, ensuring their learning objectives are met.

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for the student.

Monitor and report on the student's progress to the class teacher and SENCO.

Support the student in building confidence, social skills, and independence.

Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s development.
Requirements:

Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably on a 1:1 basis.

A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.

An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
