This multi-office firm of accountants in Central England are seeking a talented tax accountant with supervisory level experience and significant tax skill with a view to offering a Tax Manager job in Walsall.

Job Purpose

  • Manage the tax provision, overseeing and motivating the team in Walsall.
  • Work closely with a varied client portfolio, ensuring client tax expectations and deadlines are being met.
  • Lead client liaison on all matters of tax including regular meetings, building trusted and long-lasting relationships.
  • Manage workflow for the team including tax planning, compliance and regulations.
  • Review efficiencies and recommend new processes to improve workflow.
  • Maintain professional knowledge in line with changes to tax legislation.
  • Advise clients on all matters of tax.
  • Departmental billing.
  • Confidently network and scope for potential growth of the tax department.
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing supportive mentorship.
  • Work closely with senior team members, providing support as needed.
  • Set an example to the team as a natural leader.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound organisation skills.
