Contentious Probate Solicitor

A modern and long-standing firm is seeking to appoint a contentious probate solicitor to join on a full-time basis. This position offers hybrid working, free parking and a favourable pension and bonus scheme. 

The Firm/Team 

This reputable Legal 500 firm is looking for a forward-thinking contentious probate solicitor with around 5 years’ experience. The firm works completely paperless, and you will have extensive training on this when you join. The offices are open plan, and the litigation team as a whole comprises of around 8 people plus secretarial support.

The Role 

As a contentious probate solicitor within this team, you will be expected to hit the ground running on matters to include:

• Validity – challenges to wills and lifetime gifts on the basis of lack of capacity, undue influence or lack of knowledge and approval
• Inheritance Act claims
• Trust disputes
• Injunctions to protect estate assets
• TOLATA claims 

The Person

To be considered, you’ll have at least  5 years PQE with the ability to run your own files with minimal supervision and be keen to undertake and be a part of business development activities with the department.
