Job scope:

We are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager for our client’s children’s home in Walsall. The Deputy Manager will play a crucial role in helping children feel safe, confident, and respected. As a Deputy Manager, you will manage daily operations, lead the staff team, and ensure the home adheres to all relevant policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for overseeing placement requests, rotas, and maintaining accurate documentation.

The ideal Deputy Manager will have strong leadership skills, compassion, and a commitment to creating a positive, therapeutic environment for children. Working closely with the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager will make key decisions in line with risk assessments and provide essential support to children and staff alike. This role offers growth opportunities for those looking to develop in the residential care sector, with additional training and qualifications available.

Do you have?

  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a children’s residential home.
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Care, or currently working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care.
  • Valid UK driving license with a willingness to commute.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (or a willingness to complete), preferred
