Overview:

Unify are delighted to be recruiting for a Yard Supervisor join a leading supplier of safety and construction products.

You will be tasked with ensuring all preparations, unloading & loading of vehicles are carried out safely. Completing and contributing to audits and stock checks, as well as supervising the yard team.

What do I need:

  • Previous experience working with a yardman role within plant hire industry or similar
  • Previous experience unloading / loading light vehicles and HGV vehicles.
  • Good time management and planning skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Drivers Licence

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare non-mechanical equipment for hire by cleaning, inspecting, and painting.
  • Perform service and maintenance tasks, keeping detailed records of labour and parts.
  • Complete and upload all necessary documentation.
  • Ensure accurate stock management and carry out regular audits.
  • Handle slinger/signaler responsibilities for safe loading and unloading.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with managers and team leaders.
  • Lead and support your team to achieve goals effectively.
  • ownership of HSEQ standards, ensuring safety and compliance.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Tools, Plant or Tunnelling equipment
  • Forklift Licence
