KS2 Teaching Assistant - Catholic Primary School (Local to Walsall, WS1)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming Catholic primary school in Walsall (WS1). This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual with a strong background in behaviour management and previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 child-related qualification.
  • Proven UK experience in managing behaviour effectively within a KS2 setting.
  • Previous UK experience working with SEND children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and adaptability.
  • A commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos of the school while supporting pupils of all backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the class teacher and assist in the delivery of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils requiring additional support, including those with SEND.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster strong relationships with pupils, encouraging their development and engagement in the classroom.
