IT & Innovation Lead

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 08.00 – 17.00

People Solutions are looking for an IT & Innovation Lead

You will be based at our head office in Walsall Town Centre but may have to travel to our other offices across the country, as and when required.

Day to Day Duties

  • Ensuring that IT requests are responded to and dealt with in a professional and timely manner in line with correct procedure, including escalating to second- and third-line support where necessary
  • Be able to capture request and problem specifics so that the work item can be progressed effectively
  • To provide support to the users both face to face and remotely
  • To locate problems and ensure they get fixed with the support of colleagues and third-party IT support where necessary
  • To participate in the deployment of new hardware and software including laptops, desktops, mobile phones and tablets
  • Deploy and manage new VOIP and mobile telephony
  • Communicate effectively with end users in a timely manner to ensure they are kept informed as to the status of work items
  • Monitor the health and availability of systems, taking appropriate action where necessary
  • To review and deploy any new technologies in the market that could be beneficial to People Solutions
  • To manage our Cyber Security Training programme
  • To liaise with external stakeholders and suppliers as necessary, including technology partners, Board and Senior Management Team and other employees of People Solutions
  • Any other duties as directed by the Compliance & Business Support Director
