Are you an experienced Stock Control Manager looking for your next challenge? Our client, a leader in waste management, is seeking a dedicated individual to manage stock levels at their Brownhills facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe storage of accepted waste, in compliance with industry regulations.

The Role:

As a Stock Control Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing stock levels of accepted waste, ensuring compliance with Sector Guidance Note 5.06 and other regulations.
  • Conducting physical counts of stored pallets every Monday to maintain stock below 75% capacity.
  • Ensuring no stock is older than six months from the date of acceptance.
  • Overseeing the sampling of accepted waste for further analysis.
  • Coordinating with suppliers to obtain the best disposal rates and maximise profitability.
  • Collaborating with the Group Stock Control Manager and Health and Safety Manager.
  • Generating and managing IPOs, ensuring accurate gross margin analysis for outgoing loads.
  • Liaising with the Logistics Team to optimise transport utilisation.
  • Promoting a positive Health and Safety environment and managing HR duties within the Stock Control team.

The Candidate:

The ideal Stock Control Manager will have:

  • HNC or Degree Level Qualification in Chemistry or a related field.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Hazardous Waste Sector.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Regulations and experience with HSG51 and HSG71 guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working in a Health and Safety driven environment and in small teams.
