Private Client Legal Assistant – Walsall

My client, a well-established, nationally expanding law firm based in Walsall, is seeking a dedicated & professional Private Client Legal Assistant to join its supportive and highly regarded team. Known for its excellent staff retention and commitment to employee well-being, this firm provides an exceptional working environment that fosters career development and collaboration.

You will be assisting Fee Earners in the Private Client department and supporting the team with a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth progression of cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for wills, probate and estate administration
  • Manage client correspondence and provide a friendly and professional service
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory & firm-wide standards
  • Handle file management tasks, including opening, updating and closing files
  • Liaise with third parties such as banks, executors and other stakeholders
  • Provide diary management and schedule appointments for fee earners
  • Assist with gathering and sharing information as required to progress cases

You:

You will have the following experience and qualities:

  • Previous experience in a similar legal assistant or administrative role, preferably in the private client department
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and correspondence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, with a professional and empathetic approach to client care
  • Proficiency in using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with the processes involved in wills, probate and estate administration is advantageous
