We have recently had a new opportunity become available for a Mechanical Engineer/Fitter based in Walsall. Details are as follows:
The position will be contracted to a 42 hour working week on days (7am – 4:30pm with a 1pm finish on Friday) carrying out reactive maintenance on the plant, equipment and buildings whilst also working proactively to improve the plant reliability
Requirements:
- Must have experience working in a Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter position previously.
- Experience working in a foundry, forging, steel, refractory or similar heavy engineering environment is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Welding skills would be preferred.
- Any electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
Package:
- Pay rate of £15-£16/hour (£32,760 - £34,944)
- Permanent position.
- Role fixed on days.
- Overtime as and when required paid at time and a half.
- This position is looking to add to the team as soon as possible
