Job Opportunity: External Funding Bid Writer
Employer: Walsall Council (via Opus People Solutions)
Location: Remote
Pay Rate: 21.98 - 24.58 (PAYE) per hour
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) or part-time (4 days per week) available
Assignment Duration: 6 months temporary, with potential for extension

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Walsall Council and play a pivotal role in driving the area's economic regeneration by securing significant external funding. You will contribute to high-impact projects across diverse areas, including regeneration, green spaces, health and social care, heritage, and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, develop, and submit high-quality funding applications to secure resources for strategic projects.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including the voluntary and community sector, to build partnerships and maximise funding opportunities.
• Coordinate across multiple priorities, delivering innovative proposals aligned with the council's strategic goals.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven success in developing winning funding proposals and forging strong stakeholder relationships.
• Familiarity with funders such as Lottery providers, government departments (e.g., MHCLG, DESNZ, DEFRA), and other external funding sources.
• Exceptional writing, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong skills in budget development and project planning.
