“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”  Nelson Mandela.Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Payroll Advisor on a 5-month fixed-term contract with a market-leading organisation based in the Walsall area. Our client is a well-established company known for its excellent work culture and supportive environment.As a Payroll Advisor, you will be reporting to the Payroll Manager and working in a friendly team environment.  You will be responsible for a range of payroll duties, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.Your duties as the Payroll Advisor will include but not limited to:
  • Processing the payroll for 18,000+ employees.
  • Supporting different payroll processes for weekly pay, 4 weekly pay and monthly pay in Retail (UK & Ireland).
  • Resolve customer/staff queries about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.
  • Modify as requested changes in employee data e.g. personal, salary, and other statutory e.g. SSP, SMP, SPP.
  • Complete standard payroll reports for distribution.
  • Get involved with process improvement.
You will need the following skills to be successful in this role:
  • Experience in a Payroll position (2 years+ minimum).
  • Experience with different payroll software’s such as V-look ups (an advantage).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with high volumes (essential) minimum 2,000-5,000 employees.
  • End to end payroll experience.
