“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Nelson Mandela.Sheridan Maine is recruiting for a Payroll Advisor on a 5-month fixed-term contract with a market-leading organisation based in the Walsall area. Our client is a well-established company known for its excellent work culture and supportive environment.As a Payroll Advisor, you will be reporting to the Payroll Manager and working in a friendly team environment. You will be responsible for a range of payroll duties, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.Your duties as the Payroll Advisor will include but not limited to:

Processing the payroll for 18,000+ employees.
Supporting different payroll processes for weekly pay, 4 weekly pay and monthly pay in Retail (UK & Ireland).
Resolve customer/staff queries about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.
Modify as requested changes in employee data e.g. personal, salary, and other statutory e.g. SSP, SMP, SPP.
Complete standard payroll reports for distribution.
Get involved with process improvement.

You will need the following skills to be successful in this role:

Experience in a Payroll position (2 years+ minimum).
Experience with different payroll software’s such as V-look ups (an advantage).
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with high volumes (essential) minimum 2,000-5,000 employees.
End to end payroll experience.
