This is a vacancy for a Primary Teaching Assistant/Mentor with SEMH experience, to start ASAP at a Primary PRU in Walsall. This is a full-time & long-term role with the potential to turn permanent for the right person.We are looking for an individual who can naturally engage and motivate young people from vulnerable and challenging backgrounds while setting clear boundaries and working collaboratively with other TAs and the class teacher to manage behaviour and learning.Classes are no larger than 8 pupils and there are at least two TAs alongside you in each class. Pupils are working at lower levels than expected for their age and need to overcome emotional obstacles to learning before progressing with academic work.The curriculum is varied and differentiated for each group, and you will plan an integral part in supporting the students to engage them.A hugely rewarding role, this is your opportunity to make meaningful and impactful relationships with your pupils and the rest of the staff team.
