Job Description:As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of refurbishment projects. Your primary duties will include:

• Analysing project plans and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Visiting project sites to gather information and assess the scope of work.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Preparing and presenting estimates to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitoring project costs to ensure alignment with estimates.
• Adjusting estimates as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or conditions.
• Maintaining detailed records of all estimates and related documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in the healthcare sector.
• Extensive knowledge of refurbishment projects, particularly in hospitals, care homes, and retirement villages.
• Experience estimating costs for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and canteens.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
