Family Safeguarding Therapist, £34ph, Mental Health Team, West MidlandsRole Overview:Pertemps are recruiting for skilled and compassionate therapists to join the Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team in Walsall. This role focuses on delivering therapeutic interventions to parents and carers with significant and complex needs, working to improve their mental health and well-being within the context of the wider family system.Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct 1-2-1 sessions and group interventions with parents and carers, using evidence-based therapeutic models.
    • Address complex mental health needs through tailored, trauma-informed approaches.
    • Perform comprehensive assessments, formulations, and short-term evidence-based interventions.
    • Identify appropriate therapeutic approaches based on individual needs.
    • Work closely with the social care system, engaging families holistically to ensure coordinated support.
    • Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to support family safeguarding goals.
    • Develop bespoke interventions using approaches such as:
      • Trauma-informed CBT
      • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
      • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
      • Functional Family Therapy
      • Systemic Family Therapy
    • Conduct all therapeutic appointments in person, fostering meaningful connections and providing hands-on support.
Essential Requirements:
    • Proven expertise in delivering therapeutic interventions across a variety of specialisms.
    • Relevant qualifications in one or more therapeutic models (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, systemic family therapy).
    • Experience in working with adults with significant and complex mental health needs.
    • Strong skills in assessment, formulation, and delivery of tailored psychological interventions.
    • Ability to engage with parents and carers sensitively and effectively, fostering trust and collaboration.
    • A valid UK driving license is essential, as travel within Walsall will be required.
Working Arrangements: Hybrid working model. All therapeutic appointments are to be conducted face-to-face with clients.
