- Conduct 1-2-1 sessions and group interventions with parents and carers, using evidence-based therapeutic models.
- Address complex mental health needs through tailored, trauma-informed approaches.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, formulations, and short-term evidence-based interventions.
- Identify appropriate therapeutic approaches based on individual needs.
- Work closely with the social care system, engaging families holistically to ensure coordinated support.
- Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to support family safeguarding goals.
- Develop bespoke interventions using approaches such as:
- Trauma-informed CBT
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Functional Family Therapy
- Systemic Family Therapy
- Conduct all therapeutic appointments in person, fostering meaningful connections and providing hands-on support.
- Proven expertise in delivering therapeutic interventions across a variety of specialisms.
- Relevant qualifications in one or more therapeutic models (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, systemic family therapy).
- Experience in working with adults with significant and complex mental health needs.
- Strong skills in assessment, formulation, and delivery of tailored psychological interventions.
- Ability to engage with parents and carers sensitively and effectively, fostering trust and collaboration.
- A valid UK driving license is essential, as travel within Walsall will be required.
