Service Care Solutions are working alongside a national law firm with a long standing reputation which is need of a Mental Health lawyer to join one of their offices in the West Midlands. Position: Mental Health lawyer
Location: West Midlands
Salary: 40,000 to 60,000

Key Responsibilities of the Mental Health lawyer:

  • Provide legal advice and representation in matters relating to mental health for vulnerable individuals
  • Handle Court of Protection cases, including applications regarding health and welfare matters.
  • Attend tribunals, hearings, and court proceedings, representing clients in Mental Health Tribunals and Court of Protection cases.

About You:

  • Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with significant experience in mental health law and Court of Protection work.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant case law.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and compassion.
  • Accreditation as a member of the Law Society's Mental Health Accreditation Scheme (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
