Job title: Drug and Alcohol Recovery Worker Location: Walsall Hours: 37 Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00Hourly Rate 拢18 - 拢22 per hour UMBRELLA Type : Temporary 8 weeks Sector: Substance Misuse Key Responsibilities: 路 To engage young people in a range of interventions, utilising a young persons centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe and happy life. 路 Provide screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, integrated care planning & post treatment support.路 Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community路 Deliver a personalised package of care which will include - psycho social interventions, 121 key working, group work , clinical interventions, harm minimisation & whole family interventions. 路 Complete service user assessments and develop individual care plans that will identify clear how each goal will be achieved 路 Support and provide advocacy for young people by participating in multi agency meeting such as Child protection meetings, complex case review panels and team around the child meetings. 路 Work and liaise with other agencies involved with the young persons care such as criminal justice services, GP's , Mental health Teams and youth workers. 路 Where appropriate assist and carry out appropriate screening processes which include DBST, Urine and Saliva tests. 路 Carry out harm reduction strategies such as needle exchange and distribution of Naloxone after completion of relevant training. Person Specification:路 Experience working with young people with multiple complex needs. 路 Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues & experience within the substance misuse field. 路 Counselling and group work experience would be desirable. 路 Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional man
