Contek Recruitment are currently working closely with a precision engineering client, located in Brownhills, Walsall. Our client are specialists in precision subcontract CNC machining, and work in a range of sectors, including Automotive, Hydraulics, Medical, Fluid Control, and many more.
Due to consistent growth, they are now looking for an Estimator/Offline Programmer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
NOTE: This role is primarily estimating/costings based, however there will be occasions where you will need to assist with some offline programming duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building and developing relationships with new and existing customers.
- Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done.
- Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and the most cost-effective solution is captured and quoted.
- Assisting with the offline programming for the Machinists when required.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to deal directly with customers, ensuring responses are produced in a timely manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Computer literacy with strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in offline programming of CNC mills and lathes using OneCNC or a similar program.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00 - 17:00) and Friday (08:00 - 13:00)
