SEN Teaching Assistants – Walsall

GSL Education is collaborating with a Special Needs school in Walsall to recruit additional Teaching Assistants. All students have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and various additional needs, such as Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments, along with a range of complex needs.

GSL Education are seeking those with previous SEN Teaching Assistant and someone confident with an array of good behaviour management.

Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant      
Location: Walsall
Salary:   £83.33 per day
Start Date: Immediately

Type of work: Short term supply, part or full-time, longer-term roles available.

Requirements:  

• Experienced candidates will be prioritized.
• Candidates with a driving license and vehicle access will be given preference.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities:  

• Assist students throughout their educational journey as a Special Needs Assistant.
• Create varied methods to address each student’s unique needs.
• Work closely with educators, therapists, and families to develop effective support plans.
• Foster a positive environment to improve social and communication skills.
• Apply consistent interventions and participate in activities to promote academic progress and success.
