About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Walsall. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a positive difference in their educational journey.

Starting in January 2025, the successful candidate will support pupils with a range of needs, fostering a nurturing environment where they can achieve their full potential.



Key Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and group support for pupils with SEN.
  • Assisting in the implementation of individualized learning plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to adapt classroom resources and activities.
  • Promoting inclusion and helping pupils to engage with the curriculum.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to boost their confidence and independence.
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the teaching team.


About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a passion for helping children thrive.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have a proactive approach to managing challenging behaviors in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
