SEN Teachers and Teaching Assistants

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teachers and Teaching Assistants to join our team. You will play a vital role in supporting students in their educational journey and helping them achieve their full potential.

Position:

  • SEN Teacher

  • SEN Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEN Teachers:

    • Deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.

    • Work closely with other professionals to create personalized learning plans.

    • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.

    • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

    • Support students' emotional, social, and academic development.

  • SEN Teaching Assistants:

    • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.

    • Assist with implementing tailored lesson plans and adapting activities to suit individual needs.

    • Support students during classroom and extracurricular activities.

    • Help with personal care and mobility support where necessary.

    • Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being of students.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.

  • For SEN Teachers, a teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is required, with additional SEN training being a bonus.

  • For Teaching Assistants, a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable, but not essential.

  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and other professionals.

  • A commitment to ensuring every student has access to the best possible education.
