Tradewind Recruitment Birmingham are looking for passionate SEN Teaching Assistants in Walsall who has some SEN experience, to work with students on a 1-1 basis as well as supporting whole classes. This role will give you the opportunity to work closely and support students with a variety of SEN for example ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, etc. It will allow you to aid them so they can achieve personal development.
We offer lots of training via our CPD courses to give you some extra support before stepping foot into the classroom as well as our in-house TA School, should you need it.
The SEN Teaching Assistant roles are for candidates who are very passionate about working in an educational setting. The ideal candidate would be experienced in working with a variety of SEN. We are looking for those would be very caring and able to offer holistic support to the pupil(s) under their care.
In this role you'll be required to:
* Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher
* Work inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups
* Adapt support according to needs
* Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
* Create a stimulating environment
* Give information and help to teachers
* Keep records and attend review meetings
* Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists and physiotherapists
* Provide a safe and healthy environment and follow safeguarding procedures
