About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant two-form entry primary school. This is an excellent opportunity to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs, helping them thrive in their learning journey.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create a supportive, nurturing environment that encourages progress and confidence in the pupil.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with specific learning, emotional, or behavioral needs.
  • Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the pupil's needs.
  • Support the pupil in engaging with the curriculum, ensuring access to learning and promoting independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to adapt teaching strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil.
  • Monitor and report the pupil's progress to relevant stakeholders.


About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEN pupils.
  • Be empathetic, patient, and able to build a strong rapport with pupils.
  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet the pupil's changing needs.
  • Hold relevant qualifications or training Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
