Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teacher

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Empowering Learning are looking for candidates to join an Ofsted "Good" Specialist provision through school in Walsall, West Midlands. The school supports pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as behavioural needs. The school's ethos is to cultivate a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teachers to join the team. To be a successful candidate you will need to have experience working with children with diverse needs and committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEMH pupils.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support student learning and development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Ensure to create a safe and positive learning space for pupils, promoting a culture of collaboration and communication.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) with experience working in a SEND setting preferred.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
