Job Title: Speech & Language Therapist
Pay Rate: £28,407 - £35,592 per annum
Location: Walsall
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

 

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Speech & Language Therapist to support students aged 7 to 18 with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SLCN, SpLD, and VI. This role offers the opportunity to work in a specialist school setting, helping young people with EHCPs reach their full potential.

Job Requirements for this Speech & Language Therapist role:
• Must hold HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Must have a recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• Must have experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly those with ASD, SLCN, SpLD, and VI
• Ability to provide tailored therapy plans to meet individual student needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff, families, and professionals
• Knowledge of relevant legislation related to SEND, safeguarding, and EHCPs
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites may be required

 

This role involves working within a specialist setting, providing both 1:1 and group interventions, conducting assessments, and implementing Total Communication strategies, including AAC. You will play a key role in supporting students’ communication development, helping them thrive in their educational environment.
