Our Private Client are recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist for their independent specialist day school in Walsall on a permanent basis.

About the school:

The school is an independent specialist day school that caters primarily for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs but also provides for children with autism who have moderate speech and learning needs. The school provides education for up to 72 children aged 8 to 16.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support across specialist schools and children's homes for young people with complex needs.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support educational and residential staff in creating therapeutic living and learning environments.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and formulate individualised interventions for young people.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure therapeutic support is integrated into all aspects of education, care, and support.
  • Offer consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to educational and residential teams.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
