We are partnered with a manufacturing organisation in Walsall who are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The Purchasing Manager is a leadership position, responsible for all procurement activity, operation of the purchasing functions and strategy.   • Responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing strategy and operations
  • Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Establish a system to qualify and evaluate vendors
  • Implement agile supply chain practices
  • Improve the contract review and planning process
  • Manage a team of Buyers and Administrators, improve skills and performance and coach to support growth and development.
Purchasing ManagerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • In depth experience working in a Purchasing Manager role or similar
  • Previously worked within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong leadership skills
