Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality humanities lessons that captivate and engage students.
Teach a range of subjects within the humanities curriculum, such as history, geography, sociology, and more
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and empathy through the exploration of human societies and cultures
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Sociology, or a related humanities field (PGCE or QTS preferred)
Proven experience teaching humanities subjects at the secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring students to explore the complexities of human society
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom
Dedication to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching practice
