Technical Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop strong, memorable relationships that keep customers engaged and the company at the forefront of their mind
- Liaise with customers to understand their requirements, using your expert knowledge to share guidance and provide bespoke quotes
- Transform enquiries into sales by following up on outstanding quotations and building a strong sales pipeline
- Oversee live projects, ensuring each project meets the customer's vision and are completed as agreed
- Identify areas to maximise account profit and increase sales activity
- Work in collaboration with the wider sales team, supporting where necessary and sharing your expertise with the business
Technical Sales Engineer Skills and Experience:
- Experienced Mechanical Engineer or Architect with particular experience in building services
- Demonstrates a good understanding of steelwork and fabrication, experience in working within this field would be a distinct advantage
- B2B sales experience would be a benefit, especially if this were gained in the building services or architecture sector, please note this would be an advantage and not essential
- Able to articulate technical terms into easy-to-understand laymen's terms
- Strong communicator, confident liaising at all levels, presenting ideas and negotiating
