We're seeking a Responsible Individual on a self-employed basis for a children's home in Waltham Abbey. There is also an opportunity to take on a second home and a third home.

These homes will be new registrations and so we're seeking an experienced candidate who can ensure compliance, drive quality and support the home's registration and development. The successful candidate will have ideally been an RI previously.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, Children and Young People
  • Extensive experience working as a Responsible Individual or Registered Manager in an EBD/LD children's home environment
  • A 'Good', as a minimum, Ofsted inspection record
  • Effective supervision and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the relevant law, regulations, and standards and how to apply them

Job Role

To fulfil the role of an experienced and competent Responsible Individual with residential care experience to provide leadership, management and support across services, homes and Registered Manager(s). You will be a positive and influential Responsible Individual, experienced with Ofsted inspections who can help drive the home(s) towards obtaining Ofsted registration, where responsible for a home going through this process, and positive inspection outcomes.

Salary

Daily rate: Starting at £300 per day (negotiable)

Expected to be able to spend 1 day a week at each home
