Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Broxbourne

Level 3 qualification required

I am currently working with a lovely school in Cheshunt who are urgently seeking an Early Years SEND specialist to support their pupils aged 4-6 years old to start immediately.

About the role:

The needs of the pupils they cater for range from:

  • ASC (verbal and non-verbal)
  • EHCPs
  • Learning difficulties
  • Complex needs

We are looking for a Level 3 SEND TA to work with a small team in an adaptive provision class of 9 pupils age 4-6 years old. The pupils all have SEND and have EHCPS or are highly likely to get one. The pupils are awaiting places at specialist SEND schools. The pupils attend 9am-3pm and follow a highly specialist and structured routine with a personalised curriculum. Staff in the class take lunch breaks on a rota between 11:30-1:00. Staff will need to manage the pupils intimate care needs in terms of nappy changing and feeding. Any experience with PECS and Makaton is desirable along with an understanding of ASD, global delay and sensory needs. A strong knowledge of safeguarding is essential.
