- To diligently assess the quality, safety, and legality of products against agreed specifications and processes – quality assessments must be accurate and logically categorised.
- Working effectively as part of a wider Warehouse team achieving task and time goals.
- Diligently report and classify all “assessments” using handheld devices.
- Supporting audit of QMS records in the manufacturing units.
- Supporting audit of Goods in records and approved supplier updates in the manufacturing units
- Supporting internal audits of manufacturing units.
- Responsible for maintaining the traceability of all fish products (chilled, frozen, frozen in house and filleting room) and sausage products.
- Assisting with preparations to achieve compliance for BRCGC audits and Preparation for 2nd party audits.
- Responsible for micro and chemical schedule update and sample collection for manufacturing units.
- Assist in Histamine testing of fish products.
- Providing support to other technical / quality departmental functions as reasonably requested.
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
- Quality Assessment of items / checking products against a specification (desirable).
- BRCGS and internal auditing experience (desirable).
- Capable of working in a time precious environment and at pace.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and functions (desirable).
- Good communicator across all levels, formal and informal.
- Understanding and awareness of food legislation, food quality management systems, 3rd party accreditation standards, HACCP and Food labelling (desirable).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
