A regional contractor with over 20 years of experience delivering projects across East Anglia with a strong order book from both new and repeat clients. Schemes range from commercial to industrial projects.
Your new role
They are now looking for a site based Quantity Surveyor to work on a 6.5m project in the Cheshunt area building a high-spec industrial unit. Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will be site based on the project.
Some key duties:
- Preparing contract documents.
- Procurement of Subcontract and Supply packages.
- Estimating
- Assess applications and make payments.
- Measure from drawings to produce bills of quantities and schedule materials.
- Produce the Contractors Monthly Report.
- Calculate variations and submission.
- Submitting monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations
- Chairing progress and design meetings with the client
- Support with Health & Safety on site
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with JCT forms of contract
- Previous experience working on similar schemes, in particular working on groundworks packages
