Location: Cheshunt 

Start Date: January 2025 

Salary: £32,000 - £45,000

We are currently working with a fantastic secondary school based around the Cheshunt area, supporting them recruit a full time English teacher to start from January 2025. 

Key Responsibilities:• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that are engaging and accessible, promoting academic achievement and personal growth.• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their potential.• Develop and implement innovative teaching methods, adapting lessons to meet the needs of individual students.• Prepare students for GCSE examinations, with a focus on both subject mastery and exam readiness.• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive curriculum and contribute to the ongoing development of the English department.• Participate actively in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.About You:The successful candidate will be a dedicated and passionate English teacher with the following qualifications and attributes:• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in English or a related field.• Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, preferably with experience in preparing students for GCSEs.• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and a commitment to maintaining high educational standards.• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.• A team player who is eager to contribute to the department and the wider school community.• Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
