About the RoleA well-regarded secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of French to join their dynamic Modern Foreign Languages department. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire students and contribute to a thriving language department.
As a Teacher of French, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5. The ideal Teacher of French will be enthusiastic about language learning and committed to helping students develop their confidence and fluency in French.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured French lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Ensure all students, regardless of ability, are supported to achieve their full potential in French.
- Contribute to the development of an exciting and relevant curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and enhance student learning experiences.
- Use a range of assessment techniques to track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Take an active role in extracurricular activities and language enrichment opportunities.
- Support the school's commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Engage with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success.
Candidate Profile:We are looking for a Teacher of French who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- If a candidate doesn't posses QTS, Extensive experience will be considered.
- Has experience teaching French across Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for language learning and teaching.
- Has excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- Is committed to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practice.
- Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
