Maintenance and Repairs Officer Walton-On-Thames £32,000 per annum On-site Our client are currently looking for a Maintenance and Repairs Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Maintenance and Repairs Officer, you will provide a comprehensive and professional repairs and maintenance service. You will ensure that all work is performed in line with our service standards, contractual obligations, and relevant health and safety regulations. Your role will be vital in ensuring that all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:
  • Onsite Repairs and Maintenance: Deliver repairs and maintenance services in accordance with health and safety policies, regulations, and service standards.
  • Health and Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all work environments comply with health and safety standards, ensuring the safety of all personnel and clients.
  • Diagnosing and Resolving Issues: Quickly identify and address repair issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services and maximum efficiency in resolution.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance services meet relevant legislation and contractual obligations, including compliance with safety standards and quality assurance.
What you will need:Knowledge:
  • Equality and Diversity: Understanding and commitment to equality and diversity best practices in service delivery.
  • Student Services: Familiarity with the regulatory framework and best practices in student services, including legislation that Registered Providers must adhere to.
  • Health and Safety Regulations: Knowledge of fire, health, and safety regulations, particularly in residential settings, ensuring safe working environments.
  • Industry Standards: A strong understanding of basic carpentry, plumbing, tiling, and electrical industry standards.
  • ANUK Framework: Knowledge of the ANUK framework for landlords managing accommodation, ensuring best practices in housing management.
  • Qualifications:Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Building Maintenance Multi-trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations (Construction), demonstrating your technical competency.
  • IT Systems: Experience with IT systems like HOTEC, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Orchard, used for managing maintenance and repairs data and tasks.
Skills:
  • Practical Trade Skills: Proficiency in basic carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, tiling, painting, and decorating. Ability to apply industry standards in all tasks.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and management.
  • Contract Management: Experience in managing contracts, ensuring all obligations are met and services are delivered as agreed.
  • Data Management: Competency in data inputting and managing maintenance records accurately and efficiently.
  • Time Management: Excellent organisational skills to prioritise and manage workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Abilities:
  • Workload Management: Ability to manage and prioritise demanding workloads, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
